About the project

MOBUILDING has been designed to tackle one of the building sector’s key challenges: enhancing the mobility of apprentices and the quality of their learning experiences. The project proposes an integrated support system to increase the number, diversity and quality of apprenticeship mobility opportunities. It focuses on removing structural and institutional barriers, building capacity in VET providers and companies, and creating a European-wide digital platform to facilitate cooperation and coordination. By integrating innovative and sustainable practices to meet evolving industry standards, MOBUILDING boosts the transition to greener and more sustainable practices, essential for meeting EU Green Deal goals and its required new skills and training.

Barrier analysis and policy diagnosis

We explore legal, structural, cultural, and operational obstacles that limit the mobility of apprentices in the building sector across Europe. This evidence-based analysis lays the foundation for targeted solutions.

European Action Plan for Apprenticeship Mobility

MOBUILDING develops a strategic roadmap with recommendations, tools and models to enhance and scale up cross-border apprenticeship mobility in the building sector.

Digital Innovation: European Platform for Apprenticeship Mobility in Building

The project creates an interactive digital platform to support matchmaking, information sharing, and the management of mobility processes between VET providers, companies and learners.

Testing and Validation: MOBUILDING Mobility Pilot

Real-scenario apprenticeship mobility cases are tested in different countries to evaluate the proposed model and tools. These pilots help refine the system and demonstrate its practical impact.

Policy Transfer and Capacity Building

MOBUILDING promotes the integration of its results into institutional strategies and public policies. It also strengthens the skills of VET providers, companies and stakeholders to manage mobility effectively, inclusively and sustainably.
