European apprenticeship mobility is supported by a range of common frameworks that promote quality, transparency and mutual trust across education and training systems. Rather than replacing national regulations or qualification systems, these frameworks provide shared principles and reference points that help organisations design, deliver and recognise high-quality mobility experiences.

European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training (EQAVET)
EQAVET provides a common framework for quality assurance in vocational education and training. It supports continuous improvement by encouraging organisations to plan, implement, evaluate and review their education and training activities using shared quality principles.
European Framework for Quality and Effective Apprenticeships (EFQEA)
The EFQEA establishes key principles for delivering high-quality apprenticeships. It promotes effective partnerships between education providers and employers, quality learning in the workplace, fair working conditions and strong governance arrangements.
Europass
Europass supports the transparency of skills, qualifications and learning achievements by providing European tools that help individuals document, manage and communicate their competences throughout lifelong learning and mobility.
Erasmus Quality Standards
The Erasmus Quality Standards define the principles organisations should follow when planning and implementing mobility activities under the Erasmus+ Programme. They focus on inclusion, high-quality learning, effective support for participants and continuous organisational improvement.
